TREEHOUSE PRESCHOOL
Ages 2.5 - 4 years old
A play and nature-based preschool which focuses on social-emotional development for children 2.5 to 4 years old
ABOUT
The Treehouse Playcare & Preschool is a school like no other! Learning through play is at the core of our philosophy. Treehouse is often a child’s first experience in school. It is a cozy, safe and intimate environment to work on independence, learn to share, make friends and develop a lifelong love for learning. With small class sizes and low child to teacher ratios, the teachers individualize care and instruction for each child. The Treehouse teachers strive to inspire a sense of wonder and playfulness.
Treehouse offers a morning and afternoon preschool program for children 30 months through 4 years old. Families may choose a 1-5 day per week schedule, and add additional drop-in days as needed. The morning program is from 8am-12pm and the afternoon program is from 12:30-4:30pm. A nutritious and balanced snack is provided. Lunches are brought from home in the morning program. Children do NOT need to be potty trained when starting preschool.
A child’s day at Treehouse includes exploring the outdoors for at least an hour, rain or shine, getting messy through process art, using their imagination during free play, and building relationships with peers and teachers during group times and guided activities. Children are given choices in what they participate in and the duration of those activities, strengthening their autonomy. The environment is filled with earth tone soft colors, wooden toys (never battery operated!), cozy spaces with numerous children’s books, children’s art displayed on the walls, and compassionate teachers who inspire and facilitate learning through play.
Children transition to the Treehouse Pre-Kindergarten program by the September that they are 4 years of age.
